During the NDT process, an identified fault can be repaired and re-inspected in a fraction of the time required to manufacture a new replacement component.

Our aerospace NDT services include radiography testing on the component in question and, where necessary, excavating porosity, shrinkage or linear indications with the in-process verification of defect removal.

Applus+ performs repair welding on aircraft components in a temperature and humidity-controlled room, finishing with the blending of repair zone(s). The welding repair then undergoes a welding NDT process to ensure the component meets the requisite standards.
