Applus+ newly accredited to carry out electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests

03/06/2019

The Energy & Industry Division has been accredited to undertake electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and evaluations of human exposure to electromagnetic fields under UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. This reference standard is applied by test and calibration laboratories.

Applus+ will carry out these tests in situ, from a human-exposure perspective, in zones housing electrical infrastructure that may generate significant power-frequency electromagnetic fields (50Hz), including transformer substations, high-voltage power lines and electricity substations.

This new accreditation came into force in April and will help Applus+ to go on expanding its presence in the field of industrial-sector testing.
