MADRID, 8th January 2019. Applus+, the global testing, inspection and certification company, has acquired US-based Talon Test Laboratories, specialists in non-destructive testing (NDT) for the aerospace sector. With this acquisition, the Energy & Industry Division strengthens its presence in the United States while also broadening its network and range of services in this strategic field. Thanks to Talon Test’s expertise in ultrasonic testing, Applus+ will now be able to offer a complete comprehensive range of NDT products and services to this market.
Established in 1999, Talon Test Laboratories operates in Chandler-Phoenix (Arizona) and Indianapolis (Indiana). Talon is a highly respected testing vendor for the aerospace industry in the United States and employs more than 50 people and has a turnover of $4.5 million.
Following this acquisition, Applus+ will see its position as a provider of inspection services bolstered throughout the full aerospace chain, from the sector’s suppliers through to the primary aircraft and engine manufacturers.
