ENAC, the Spanish National Accreditation Body, has awarded Applus+ the Authorised Inspection Body certificate (OCA) which authorises the company to certify alternative solutions for facilities which are currently unable to meet the required standards for the storage of chemical products (APQ).
This means that Applus+ is currently the only authorised inspection body in Spain which is able to analyse the technical alternatives proposed by the owners of facilities which must meet the requirements for the storage of chemical products and, where applicable, certify that they comply with the legal standard of risk prevention. It is an important milestone, as although ENAC offers the necessary accreditation to deal with the storage of chemical products, no one is permitted to act on their behalf unless they are accredited to do so.
