Applus+ is providing wind services at the construction of the Ckani Wind Farm, which will have a forecasted capacity of 109MW from up to 47 wind turbines.
The project is located in the Antofagasta region, about 45 kilometers northeast of the city of Calama, and the works will install 24 kilometers of an electrical transmission line to connect the National Electric System (SEN) at the El Abra 220kV electrical substation.
The project’s Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) has been approved, and the wind farm is set to generate enough energy for consumption from approximately 97,000 homes.
