Sadara recognition award to Applus+ Velosi in Saudi Arabia

Two Applus+ Velosi employees received the Sadara recognition award for exceptional contributions in the chemical project.

The Sadara project is a world scale chemical project being constructed in Jubail Industrial City, in Saudi Arabia. The complex, which consists of 26 chemical manufacturing units and is one of the largest of its kind in the world, will produce chemicals that are used in the manufacturing of consumer goods, energy, transportation, electronics and furniture industries.
Sadara is the first chemical complex to crack naphtha in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. This advance opens the door to new specialty chemical plants and businesses in the Kingdom and take the Saudi chemical industry far beyond its existing commodity products. Cracking naphtha will make it possible to reduce new intermediate products, which in turn will open up a whole new range of additional downstream opportunities.
Applus+ Velosi Saudi Arabia staff, Sivaprakash Munuswamy, Unit Quality Lead and Peter Ganecis, Sr. Civil inspector have both received the Sadara recognition award for exceptional contributions in the project.
