Applus+ Laboratorios de Ensayos Metrológicos

LEM was founded in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Spain, in 1997. It has been part of Applus+ Laboratories since 2019.

Applus+ LEM offers its clients more than 20 years of experience in the world of legal metrology and quality, as well as a wide range of services.

Accreditations:

Applus+ LEM is an EU Notified Body (NB 0962) in evaluating the conformity of both automatic and non-automatic weighing instruments.

It has two laboratories for the calibration of weights and vessels accredited by ENAC (93/LC10064). The Generalitat de Catalunya has designated Applus+ LEM as an authorised metrological verification body (02-OV-0004) for the instrument phase. Applus+ LEM also offers legal metrology services as an ENAC-accredited control body, with the accreditation number 424/EI612.

• Weight calibration, both in the laboratory and at the customer's premises.
• Verification of refractometers with a range between 0 and 40 Brix to measure the sugar content of freshly crushed grape juice for private and cooperative wineries.
• On-site calibration for the pre-wetting of containers (2 to 300 litres) and flasks in volumes for service stations or authorised metrological verification bodies.
• Verification of temperature recorders and thermometers at the customer's premises (with a range of -30ºC to 50ºC) or in the laboratory (with a range of -25ºC to 150ºC).
• Calibration for non-automatic weighing instruments.
• Calibration for automatic weighing instruments.
• Legal metrology for non-automatic weighing instruments (up to 150,000 kg).
• Verification of pressure gauges for measuring tyre pressure in motor vehicles.
• Verification of systems for continuous and dynamic measurement of liquids other than water.
