The Weber County Health Department has extended its inspection and maintenance contract with Applus+ for an additional three years. Its track record of 10 years’ service partnership with government bodies sees the Automotive Division inspect approximately 350,000 vehicles at 110 decentralised stations each year.
Likewise, the Texas Department of Public Safety has extended its appointment scheduling application contract with the Automotive Division for a further year. The Applus+ cloud-based solution allows citizens to book appointments for various driver services, with the combination of client interface and scheduling facilitating an increase in the scope of services for future contracts.
Applus+ has won a contract extension with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division (EPD), which renewed its statutory vehicle inspection programme contract for another year, extending it to 21 years. Auditing the EPD’s Clean Air Force programme involves emissions testing some 2.9 million vehicles across 1,000 decentralised inspection stations.
Applus+ has also signed a contract extension with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This contract is designed to bring new service levels to safety-and-emissions inspection programmes by introducing a new control system that incorporates video-recorded inspections, photography and two-way conferencing. These service improvements tackle the fraudulent presentation of vehicles for their statutory vehicle inspections.
