Während des Transports oder der Lagerung von Öl und Gas ist es wichtig, dass Rohrleitungen und Lagertanks absolut sicher sind. Dies ist beim Bau der Anlage der Fall, wenn jede Schweißnaht einer zerstörungsfreien Prüfung (ZfP) nach strengen Industriestandards unterzogen wird.
 
Applus+ bietet seit langem NDT-Dienstleistungen in diesem Bereich an. Unser Fokus liegt seit jeher auf der Anwendung der für die jeweilige Aufgabe am besten geeigneten Prüfmethode und der Bereitstellung höchster Prüfqualität. In manchen Fällen kann die beste Methode eine traditionelle Inspektionstechnik sein. Da die Bauunternehmen jedoch ihre Konstruktions- und Schweißverfahren immer weiter verbessern, werden immer fortschrittlichere Methoden benötigt. Solche Methoden sind z.B. Phased Array (Rotoscan) oder automatisierte Full-Matrix-Capture (IWEX) Ultraschallprüfung und digitale Echtzeit-Radiographie (Rayscan).
