Applus+ signed a new contract in Morocco with SENER

    The company was awarded with the inspection and monitoring services of a manufacturing facility in Kenitra.

    Applus+ Norcontrol, included in the new Applus+ Energy & Industry division formed together with Applus+ Velosi and Applus+ RTD, is currently working in the Inspection and monitoring of production in metal structures manufacturing in a workshop located in Kenitra (Morocco). In addition, the company is currently performing several inspections in Mohammedia for a total period of four to five months.
     
    The engineering and technology group SENER is part of the winning consortium which is building the largest solar complex on the planet, located in Ouarzazate (southern Morocco). SENER is responsible for the turnkey construction of the three thermosolar facilities (NOORo I, II and III), as well as for providing the required technology.
     
    In this new contract, SENER carries out the engineering, construction, commissioning and O&M of NOORo II and III thermosolar plants. For NOORo II, the second generation of the SENERtrough(R)-2 technology (designed and patented by SENER) is being installed.
     
     
    In NOORo III, the company is applying the central tower plant with molten salt receiver and heliostat field technology, which allow the plants to continue producing electricity in the absence of solar radiation.
     
    The inspection activities began past December 2015, and the works are being carried out by SID Center Zone Department.
