16/01/2019

An Applus+/Euskontrol, S.A joint venture is to provide consultancy and technical support services as part of the control and monitoring of works on the high-speed Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor platform-construction project in Navarra. Applus+ holds a 60 per cent stake in this joint venture.

The project in question involves the “Villafranca-Peralta” subsection, which crosses the municipalities of Villafranca, Marcilla and Peralta. This is the second of five subsections into which the Castejón-Comarca de Pamplona section of the high-speed Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor has been divided.

Consultancy and technical support services related to the control and monitoring of construction works will encompass any and all tasks required to ensure the successful execution of this project. We will assist during both the planning and the construction phase and also following completion of works, with a view first and foremost to preventing faults and deviations as well as to correcting any that do arise.

The project is expected to last 34 months. The Applus+ Procedural Technical Support Department is on hand to offer assistance, its 50-plus professionals counting lawyers, industrial engineers, civil engineers, electricity specialists and telecommunications engineers amongst them. Applus+ has experience of working with the various stakeholders involved, although this is the first time our Northern Spain office will work with ADIF Alta Velocidad (the state-owned company responsible for Spain’s high-speed rail infrastructure).
