National Car Testing (NCT) was founded in Ireland in 1999.

NCT carries out one million vehicle inspections every year, and we have 890 employees spread across 47 inspection centres.

We are the sole nationwide provider of vehicle-inspection services in Ireland. In addition, we are independent of the automotive industry, and, therefore, we have no links to any motor manufacture concession or repair workshop.

NCT holds the inspection contract for London’s fleet of fire and rescue vehicles; supplies Ireland’s National Transport Authority (NTA) with support technicians; provides vehicle-registration services; and conducts taximeter checks.
Provider of statutory vehicle-inspection services in Ireland on behalf of the Road Safety Authority (RSA).
