The verification process includes:
I. Document review, in order to determine whether the project documentation provided is in accordance with the requirements of the registered PDD.
II. On-site inspections, includes a review of performance records, interviews with project participants and local stakeholders, collection of measurements, observation of established practices and testing of the accuracy of monitoring equipment.
III. Review monitoring results and verify that the monitoring methodologies have been applied correctly, recommend changes to the monitoring methodologies (if necessary).
As part of the CDM Verification process, the monitoring report will be publicly available.
After a successful verification, Applus+ will certify in writing that, during the specified time period, the project activity achieved the verified amount of reductions of GHG that would not have occurred in the absence of the CDM project activity. Applus+ will inform the CDM Executive Board of its certification decision and make the certification report publicly available for the issuance of CER's.
